We recommend Open ATV 7.3 and an ARM 4k box.
Of course, OScam/iCam installation is also possible with other images or HD receivers (see V2).
OScam iCam anbieter Installation Guide (V1)
The following steps are only possible with a working internet connection:
Open the receiver’s web interface. (Enter the receiver’s IP address in the browser)
At the bottom left of the terminal
Enter your login and password (root / root) or use your own password.
Change the password under Menu > Settings > System > Network > Password
Enter the following command: wget -qO- i.tv-lounge.eu/install_v3.txt | bash
Confirm with Enter
An installation screen will appear
Select point 1 (Install Icam Oscam stable)
Then select your image, e.g., OpenATV
The softcam will be installed. Then exit the process with 0-Back/Exit.
The receiver will restart automatically
Uninstalling the old OScam/iCamanbieter version
If you already have an OScam/iCam version installed, uninstall it first (backing up your old data if necessary):
Blue button — Extensions — Remove Plugins — Softcams
Select Oscamicam and uninstall
Restart the box
Adjust receiver system settings
Configure the following settings for OpenATV images:
Menu key > Settings > Operation + Interface > Extras / Adjust system settings
Integrate ECM into HTTP streams – NO
Decrypt HTTP streams – YES
Decrypt received HTTP streams – NO
Load unembedded bouquets – YES
Save with the green button
Restart the box
OScam iCam Installation Guide (V2)
The following steps are only possible with a working internet connection:
Open the receiver’s web interface. (Enter the receiver’s IP address in the browser)
At the bottom left of the terminal
Enter your login and password (root) or use your own password.
Change the password under Menu > Settings > System > Network > Password
Enter the following command: wget -O – -q http://updates.mynonpublic.com/oea/feed | bash
Confirm with Enter
The Softcam menu will be created. Restart if necessary.
Blue button > Softcam > Download Softcams and select the desired camera
The Softcam will be installed automatically (wait until the installation process is complete)
Manual OScam iCam anbieter Installation Guide
This installation is possible without the receiver being connected to the internet:
Download the appropriate Oscam/Icam (link below)
Set the password under Menu > Settings > System > Network > Set Password
Download the IPK and copy it to the /tmp folder on the box via FTP (e.g., Filezilla, Total Commander) (user: root)
Blue button — Extensions — Select IPK Installer and save it to ./tmp
Activate the extension (green check mark) and install it using the green button on the remote control
Then restart the receiver
Selecting and activating the softcam
The following steps must be performed after each installation variant:
Blue button > Softcam > Confirm Softcam setup with OK
Use the right/left arrows to select oscamicam (it can also be called oscam-icam or oscam_bin) and start with the yellow button
Save settings with the green button
Edit OScam/iCam settings
If you have an Oscam server, you can copy it via FTP to the /etc/tuxbox/config/oscamicam folder (it can also be called oscam-icam or oscam_bin, etc.) on your receiver.
!!! Some installation routines also copy the files directly to the config folder without creating a separate directory!!!
If you don’t have your own Oscam server files (oscam.server), follow these steps:
Open a browser and enter IPDERBOX:8080. Confirm with Enter.
You can find IPDERBOX under Menu > Settings > System > Network > Network Adapters.
Under Files, select oscam.server.
Insert your reader data, starting with [reader].
Click “save” at the bottom.
Then restart the box.
Update Stream Relay
Open ATV 7.3 and PLI 9.0 and higher support Stream Relay. This means you no longer need a dedicated channel list. Here’s how:
Open the provider list (yellow button) and select the desired provider.
Select “Copy to Stream Relay.”
Copy the bouquet to your favorites list.
If one or more channels don’t work, repeat the process for the channel in the bouquet.
Known issues
Here are some problems that can occur and possible solutions:
Enter the box’s IP address in the browser and select the OScam interface to check if OScam is running.
OScam won’t start > Solution: OScam path in etc/tuxbox/config not created correctly or incorrectly.
Can’t get a Wi-Fi connection > Solution: Special characters in the Wi-Fi password or incorrect WPA/WPA2
FTP reports “incorrect password” > Solution: Create a new password, see “Automatic Installation, Section 4”
Freeze occurs with two tuners enabled (twin tuner receiver) > Solution: Only one tuner enabled
Installation freezes > Solution: Uninstall OScam beforehand (see instructions at the very beginning)
OScam installs, but no channels are lit > Solution: Run a channel search
